I am starting to run out of reasons to avoid Operation: Get Your Shit Together.
For the past few weeks I’ve been laying it on pretty thick with myself over how BUSY I am unpacking, setting things up, “preparing my studio-space”, etc. And now here I am. The fucking curtains are up and all the art supplies are neatly stored in their new homes. The utilities have been set up, change of address forms filled out…
Yup… guess it’s time to get to work on my …“brand”?

Or…. I could teach myself about the inner workings of my kitchen’s plumbing. Um, which is what I’ve been doing. I keep finding these menial little chores that I Simply Must Do! ™ before I can start anything on my Art Related To Do List.
A Love Letter to the West End (PVD)
It’s been over two weeks since we moved into our new place in Providence, RI.
As derpy as it sounds, there are no words to describe how much I am loving it here…
I know, right? … Stupid, sentimental Nicky…
But, really… we’re on the West End. Dexter Field and the Armory are right across the street. There’s a huge dog park. A neighborhood full of beautiful Victorian houses. Arts and culture.
As fucking stupid as it sounds, sometimes when I take Sadie for a walk or two in the afternoon my heart honestly just swells up. I get excited and inspired and… God, I dunno, so many feelings.
